 LIBRARY & INFORMATION CENTRE  

The library of Veer Wajekar Arts, Science and Commerce College was started with the establishment of college in the year 1989. Right from its inception, it has become the “HEART” of the college. It functions as a subsystem of the college and supports imparting of higher education at the UG, PG and Research Levels. The library is situated on the second floor of building and is made easily accessible from all sides of the college premises. Today, the library has a collection of more than thirty thousand books and thirty-five journals periodicals/magazines. Library automation is under process using Libreria Software. Wide range audio-visual aids & e-resources are available in the library.

LIBRARY AUTOMATION -STATUS

The library uses indigenously MKCL’s Libreria Software, Management System integrated software with OPAC and bar code technology. Library has started the automation work of the library holdings and circulation barcodes from three months. There are completed 15000 books data entries and 1000 students’ membership entries.  So, OPAC facility will be made available at various stations and on library portal of college website for searching the books to students and faculty.

The library follows Open Access System (OAS) in order to achieve ‘Every Reader has his/her Book & Save the time of the reader. The students are equally free to recommend any books, journals & source of information as the teachers.
