LIBRARY GENERAL RULES
- All the students/scholars and outsiders entering the Library shall keep their bags and other personal belongings at the entrance.
- Visitors will first sign in the Register at the checkpoint, before being allowed to approach Circulation Counter.
- I-Card & Library card should be compulsory for entering into the library.
- Readers should not deface, mark, cut, mutilate or damage library resources in any way. If anyone is found doing so, he will be charged the full replacement cost of the resource.
- All the UG students (except BMS/ IT) are allowed to borrow 1 book and all the PG students and BMS/IT students are allowed to borrow 2 books at a time from the Text and Stack section for a period of 07days.
- The book must be returned on or before the due date otherwise there will be a late fine of Rs. 1.00 for per day.
- Borrowers, faculty, staff going on long leaves like deputation, study leave will have to return all borrowed material before leaving town.
- All the students who want to return the books issued on their names are advised to wait until the books are shown as cancelled against their names.
- Students are advised not to issue Books to others on their names.
- Reference Documents like Dictionary, Encyclopedia, Year Books, Journals (Loose & Bound), Theses, Project Reports, Census, Handbooks will not be issued out.
- Borrowers must make good the loss by replacing library material with same or latest edition. In case of non-availability of material, then the actual cost of the book/material.
- All users are requested to keep their mobiles in silent mode.
- No visitor is permitted to use the Library without properly obtaining library membership.
- No photograph of the Library shall be taken without the prior permission of the Librarian.
- The Library reserves the right to call back any issued book/item at any time.
- Demand and suggestion forms are available at the circulation counter for your use.
REFERENCE & PERIODICAL SECTION RULES
- Document(s) / Book(s) belonging to this section are not issued out of the library.
- Use of mobile or any other electronic device for photocopying and reproduction of document is strictly prohibited.
- Do not bring any documents/books in the reference section. Only pen and notebooks are allowed.
- Damage to any book or reference collection shall have to be made good by concerned reader.
- Periodicals section is only meant for the consultation of reference of periodicals/journals.
- Only library members are allowed in these sections.
- User shall be responsible for safe custody of issued journals/periodicals.
- Keep your mobiles switched off. Talking over mobile in the section is strictly prohibited. Maintain silence in these sections.
