About Department

                 Our Veer Wajekar A.S.C. College ,Phunde,Tal-Uran,Dist-Raigad is situated Coasted ,Tribal and hilly area run by the Rayat Shikshan Sanstha Satara. The department of economics of this college is established on 27th June 1989.It is oldest development of the college having six units of Economics. At present, in all three permanent faculty members are working as senior college teacher in economics department among three one is Ph.D. two are M.Phil. and two is NET,two is SET,one is B.Ed. There is no technical support staff.

            We have good tradition of results. All the faculty members work from bottom of the heart for improving strength and quality of the students of dept. of Economics. All the teachers use ICT in teaching and Learning of Economics. PPTs, e-Books, LCD projector, periodicals & Journals are used by the Faculty members. Dept. of economics opt Advance & Slow learners coaching remedial coaching ,group discussion ,seminars of students diagram Practice note book study tour for upliftment and quality improvement of the students.The Department also Conducted Socio- Economic Survey Mahalan Vibhag of Uran tehsil.

            In the year 2017-18 Twenty nine students have enrolled for six units and three students for three units under the well experienced direction and guidance of Hon. Prin. Dr. G. T. Sangale, the department is progressing fast.
