ADMISSION

  1. RULES FOR ADMISSION
  • Right for admission is reserved by the Principal.
  • A student seeking admission to this college shall present himself with an application form duly filled in and signed by his / her parent / guardian.
  • No admission shall be regarded as granted unless it is granted by the authority and the necessary fees have been received by the college.
  • All admissions are valid only for one academic year and it is required to be renewed in the prescribed form for every sub sequent year.
  • Once a students admitted will be considered as duly admitted for the academic year unless he informs the Principal in writing of his intension to cancel the admission and leave the college, at least a week before the commencement of the second term. If no such intimation is received, full fees for the second term will have to be paid.

  2. For First Year Classes –
  • Duly filled in Admission form
  • Duly filled in Enrolment Application form supplied by the college office / university.
  • Original Mark-Sheet of H.S.C. Examination along with Three Attested Xerox copies of the same.
  • Junior college Leaving Certificate with one attested copy of same.
  • Three passport size latest coloured photographs of the students.
  • The students belongs to SC/STNT/VJ/SBC/OBC must submit.
  • Caste Certificate with one attested copy of the same.
  • Non-Creamy layer Certificate with one attested copy of the same (for NT/OBC/SBC students).
  • Students from other state must submit :
  • Provisional Eligibility Certificate from the University of Mumbai.
  • Migration Certificate from the last attends Board/University.
  1. For Second and Third Year Classes:-
  • Duly filled Admission Form
  • One attested copy of Statements of Marks of the last examinations passed.
  • Three passport size latest colour photographs of the students.
  • Students belong to SC/ST/NT/SBC/OBC must submit.
  • Cast Certificate with one attested copy of the same.
  • Non-Creamy layer Certificate with one attested copy of the same ( for NT/OBC/SBC students)
  • Students from other college must submit :
  • No Objection Certificate from the last attended college.
  • Application for Transfer Certificate.
  • Students from other State University must submit:
  • Eligibility Certificate from the University of Mumbai.
  • Migration Certificate from the last attends University.
  • No objection certificate from the last attended college.
  • Application for Transfer Certificate.
  1. For Post Graduation Classes:-
  • Dully filled in Admission form.
  • Registration form supplied by the college office/University (Part-1 Only)
  • Original Mark sheet of F.Y/S.Y/T.Y/Part-I/Part-II Examination along with three attested Xerox copies of the same.
  • Three passport size latest colour photographs of the students.
  • Students belong to SC/ST/NT/SBC/OBC must submit.
  • Cast Certificate with one attested copy of the same.
  • Non-Creamy layer Certificate with one attested copy of the same ( for NT/OBC/SBC students)
  • Students from other college must submit :
  • No Objection Certificate from the last attended college.
  • Application For Transfer Certificate.
  • Students from other State University must submit:
  • Eligibility Certificate from the University of Mumbai.
  • Migration Certificate from the last attend University.
  • No objection certificate from the last attended college.
  • Application for Transfer Certificate

                                 III. Cancellation and Refund of fees 

Students can cancel the admission, and the document will be immediately or latest within 48 working hours. Fees will be refunded as per ordinance 0.2859 (refer circular no. UG/412 of 2008 dated 11th September 2008).

0.2859: Refund the Tuition, Development and all other fees cancellation of admission:

The candidate who has been taken admission in under graduate courses in Government colleges, in Government aided colleges and unaided courses conducted by affiliated colleges and recognized institutions may request for refund of fees after applying in writing for cancellation of their admission to the course. The refund of fees after applicable shall be made on or before the 30th day after the date of cancellation and thereafter. The percentage of fees for the course shall be refunded to the candidate after deducting charges as follow

Note: The total amount considered form the refund of fees from the commencement of academic term of the courses included the following

  1. All the fee items chargeable for one year are as per relevant university circulars for different faculties ( excluded the courses for which the total amount is fixed by other competent authorities )
  2. The fees charged towards group insurance and all fee components to be paid as University share (included Vice Chancellor fund, University fee for sports and cultural activities, E-charge, disaster management fund, examination fee ) are non refundable if payment is made by the college prior to the date of cancellation.
  • Fee collected for identity card and library card, Admission form and prospectus, enrolment and any other course specific fees are NOT REFUNDABLE after the commencement of the academic term.
  1. All refundable deposits (laboratory caution money and library etc.) shall be refunded at the time of cancellation.

Provided that wherever admission is made through centralized admission process for professional and/or for any other courses by other competent authorities (as per the rules of relevant agencies) for the 1st year admissions. In case of admission to subsequent years of the course, 0.2859 is applicable for cancellation of admission.

Provided further that this refund rule is concurrent with rule and guidelines of other professional statutory bodies appointed for admission for relevant courses.

Further that 0.2859-A&O.2859-B have been repeated and the amended  0.2859 relating to the refund of tuition fees, development and all other fees after cancellation of admission for the under graduate courses has been brought into force with effect from the academic year 2008-2009

  1. Discipline
  2. Students should always were their valid college identity card whenever in the college or should be produced whenever demanded by any of the college staff. No student is allowed to enter in the college premises without valid identity card.
  3. In case of the any problem, personal or academic, students should report to the respective class teacher or faculty in-charge or the principal who will help them to solve their problems.
  4. Every student is responsible to the college and should take almost care of the college premises /property. Any damage done the property of the college is to be compensated either individually or collectively.
  5. Any damage to the college building, furniture and fixture by the students shall be treated as breach of discipline.
  6. Students are advised to take care of garden, plants, flowers etc.
  7. Students should observe good punctuality. Appropriate action will be taken against late comers.
  8. No committee or organization of students is permitted in the college.
  9. Students will not be allowed to bring any outsider with them in the college but in special case parents or any outsider may be allowed with prior permission and valid reason and entering the name on the gate register.
  10. No person, other than college staff can be invited to address any meeting or to participate in the college activity without prior permission of the Principal.
  11. Students are not supposed to loiter in the college corridors or college premises.
  12. Students are expected to be seated in their respective classrooms at the stroke of the first bell and wait for the teacher. Students are to make use of the library/reading room during free periods.
  13. Smoking is strictly prohibited in the college premises.
  14. If the conduct of any students is detrimental to the college, the Principal may ask the student to leave the college without assigning any reason. The Principal’s decision is final regard.
  15. No student shall collect any money without the written permission of the Principal.
  16. Discipline and good behaviour are expected from the student’s at all social/cultural Programming and celebrations at the college.
  17. No notice shall be put on the notice boards, including black boards without the written permission of the principal or the faculty members authorized in the matter concerned.
  18. Students shall not organize picnics, excursion trips etc. on their own, without written permission of the Principal.
  19. All programmes, meeting, gathering, functions, picnic, hiking, etc., will organized only with prior written permission of the Principal.
  20. The power relating to the disciplinary action in the college will with the Principal and his decision in this respect shall be final. Anyone who violates the code of conduct will be severely dealt with.
  21. Students are not allowed to make complaints in a body or present any collective petition, but they are welcome to present their case, if any, individually.
  22. All the circulars, notices related to scholarships, examinations and other programmes etc. are displayed on the college notice board. Concerned students will he held responsible for the loss, if they failed to read the notices.
  23. Use of mobile/Cell phone is strictly prohibited in college campus.

                                      V.Behaviour and Conduct

  1. Students are prohibited from doing anything inside or outside the college that will interfere in college administration or affects its public image. No outside influence, political or any other should be brought into the college, directly or indirectly.
  2. Courtesy and respect must be the key aspects of student’s behaviour disrespect and disobedience may result in disciplinary action, involving suspension or even expulsion.
  3. When the teacher enters the classroom, the students must rise, remain standing still they are directed to sit down. When attendance roll is called, each one must rise and give the presentee.
  4. Students are expected to greet all visitors and members of the staff with respect. They should always remember that the college is judged by their conduct. Any major breach or discipline and courtesy, as also disrespect for the members of the college staff, will be treated as serious and responsible students for such misbehaviour will be summarily dismissed.
  5. Scribbling on the walls and desks etc. should be avoided. If any student is found scribbling the walls desks, disciplinary action shall be taken against him/her.
  6. All students are responsible to the college authorities for their behaviour both in the college and outside the college both individually and collectively. Any reported or observed objectionable conduct outside the college on the part of the students shall render them liable for disciplinary action.
  7. Congregating on the road in front of the college or at the entrance of the college creates a bad impression on the passersby and therefore, is to be avoided.
  8. Students are not expected to sit on the steps of the staircase or on the steps of the portico of the college.
  9. Students have to park their vehicles at the parking place only movements of vehicles in the college campus shall be in a moderate speed only.
  10. Throwing about waste paper, defacing the walls and committing nuisance on the college grounds are punishable offences.
  11. Students must not join any club or society or make any engagement that would interfere with their academic schedule, without the prior permission of the Principal.
  12. Students are not allowed to play in any term against the official team of the college.
  13. Students are forbidden to organize or attend any meeting within the college or collect money for any purpose from students and outsiders or to circulate among the students any notice or petition of any kind or paste it on the college notice board without the written permission of the Principal.
  14. The college is not responsible to goods and ornaments or money lost etc in college premises. It is advisable not to bring valuables to the college.
  15. No books (other than text books or reference books or library books), magazines etc. May be brought to the college.
  16. All should be particular about cleanliness of the college. They should use the baskets and bins specially provided for.
  17. Habitual Idleness, late coming, wilful disobedience or misconduct, individually or collectively will be seriously dealt with.
  18. Students suffering from diseases infectious by a Registered Medical Practitioner and which requires quarantine or segregation will not be permitted to attend the college without being certified as cured by the same medical practitioner.
  19. Any student who is persistently insubordinate or is repeatedly or wilfully mischievous or is guilty or malpractice in connection with examination or has committed an act of serious indiscipline and/or misbehaviour, or who, in the opinion of the Principal has an unwholesome influence on his fellow students may be suspended from the college for specified period or even expelled from the college.
  20. Insubordination and indecent language or conducts are sufficient reasons for the dismissal of the student.
  21. Students should switch off the light, fans etc. when not required and also while leaving the classrooms/laboratories/library.
  22. Student should make themselves familiar with the college rules and regulation concerning them and also with the regulation and notice issued by the college from time to time.
  23. Students joining the college are, by that very fact, deemed to accept and observe all the rules and regulations of the college to the entire satisfactions of the college authorities.
  24. Identity Card

The students must always wear their identity cards as long as they are in the college premises. They will not allowed to attend the classes, enter the library and participate in the extracurricular activities unless, they have their identity cards in their neck.

                         VII. About Mobile Phones

Bringing of Mobiles within the campus is strictly prohibited as per the university norms. If any student’s  found with mobile, the mobile set shall be forfeited and strict action shall be taken against the student.

                         VIII. Ragging is Prohibited

 Government of Maharashtra has notified ragging as a cognizable offence. Any one reported to be involved in any form of ragging will be severely dealt with. Therefore students are advised to restrain from indulging in any form of ragging.

  1.                     ATTENDANCE AND GRANT OF TERMS

Attendance of students is required by 0.119, 0.120 and 0.125

  1. Ordinance 0.119, 0.120 and 0.125 :-

The examination issued by the University wide circular no. UG/235/98 DATED 03/07/1998 RELATING TO 0.119 says that – “ For granting or terms, attendance of 75% if theory, practical and tutorials (wherever prescribed ) Separately will be required, out of the total no.of lectures, practicals and tutorials conducted in the term” .

  1. Ordinance o.125 :-

It states that “ To keeps a term at a college or recognised institution, an undergraduate must complete to the satisfaction of the Principal of the Head of Institution, the course of study at the college or institution prescribed for such terms for the class to which such undergraduates then belongs”.

   Students who fail to maintain the condition of minimum attendance on account of bonafide illness, or any reason which is deemed right by the principal, should apply in writing to the Principal, for leave or absence, prior or within two days from the date of commencement of such leave, failing which they will be treated as defaulters.

    All applications for leave of absence along with medical certificate, if any, should be submitted to the Principal and not directly to any teacher.

  1.   General Rules Pertaining To Attendance
  2. Students who request leave of absence from lectures/practicals/tutorials for participating in sports, cultural or any other activities on behalf of the college should submit the application countersigned by the respective teacher.
  3. All decisions pertaining to grant of terms will be decided by an Attendance Committee Duly constituted by the college.
  4. An Appeal to the Parents / Guardians (Very Important)

                      General

  • Parents and Guardians are requested to go through the “Prospectus” while admitting their wards to the college.
  • They are requested to meet at least twice in a year to the class teachers/ Head of the Department/ Principal to have the information about the progress of their ward.

F.Y./S.Y. Classes

  • The examinations of these classes are either term end or semester basis. So parents are requested to see the regularity and compliance of internal examinations or evolution of their wards, accordingly.

                                T.Y./P.G. Classes

  • Parents are requested to see the progress of their ward at all examination to be conducted by the university.
